project introduction
Leveraging my graphic design expertise alongside my UX/UI design responsibilities, I spearheaded the development of VeganHive's visual identity. This cohesive brand personality ensures consistency and recognition across all marketing channels, strengthening our brand presence and reinforcing our commitment to the vegan community.
the problem
VeganHive previously lacked a cohesive and distinctive visual identity, hindering brand recognition and creating confusion among users regarding the uniqueness of vegan brands within the marketplace.
THE GOAL
To enhance brand recognition and foster a strong sense of community, we developed a cohesive visual identity that is easily recognizable by both existing and new users. This unified branding includes a distinctive, color palette, illustrations and typography that can be seamlessly integrated across all marketing channels, ensuring a consistent and memorable experience for our audience.
process
Inspired by the minimalist, 2D flat illustration style of Headspace, we adopted a similar aesthetic as the foundation for our visual identity. This design approach not only aligns with contemporary design trends but also complements the modern and approachable nature of our brand.
To evoke a sense of positivity and inclusivity, we selected a vibrant and colorful palette that reflects the vibrant spirit of the vegan community. Our color choices are carefully curated to evoke feelings of happiness and friendliness, while also ensuring high contrast for optimal readability and visual appeal.
To reinforce our brand's friendly and community-oriented ethos, we selected fonts with rounded shapes. Nunito and Chewy were chosen for their inviting and approachable characteristics. To enhance readability and create visual interest, we complemented these fonts with Work Sans, which offers a clean and versatile style that pairs well with the rounded fonts, providing a harmonious and visually pleasing composition.

Once the visual style guidelines were established, we implemented them consistently across all marketing channels. This comprehensive approach ensured a unified brand experience and strengthened our brand identity.
The introduction of a redesigned about page, business page, and pricing page, incorporating the new visual style, resulted in a significant increase in website traffic and new user registrations. This positive impact demonstrates the effectiveness of our rebranding efforts in attracting and engaging our target audience.
Our revamped visual identity has instilled greater confidence in new users, reinforcing our position as a valuable and distinctive company within the vegan community. This newfound confidence is evident in the increased user engagement and loyalty we have witnessed since the implementation of our new branding.
